Ombudsman Program
The Ombudsman Program in its simplest definition is an informal telephone ‘mediation’ process. It is helpful in addressing and solving complaints from the public and has proven to be an effective tool in resolving REALTOR® to REALTOR® conflicts as well. Like a mediator, an Ombudsman is a neutral facilitator who assists parties in finding options, approaches and available resources to resolve disputes. This free program is available to OCAOR members, their clients and customers.
We have two (2) certified Ombudsman within the Otero County Association of REALTORS.
